Kenya Energy Access Trade Mission
We were excited to be a part of the UK Grand Challenges Research Fund trade mission to Kenya. As part of the mission, we are one of the businesses that have been selected to represent the UK’s innovation in securing global energy access.
CEO Thomas Fudge met a range of organisations across Kenya to understand the unique issues that are faced. The mission is a great opportunity for our team to get a better understanding of the needs that are faced by organisations tackling energy access.
Through the key learnings, we can establish new partnerships where our novel wastewater to energy solution can provide customised decentralised waste management and sustainable energy production. It is a fantastic opportunity for WASE to meet some of the inspiring leaders and organisations within Kenya that are at the forefront of innovation and are leading the sustainable energy movement.
"It was a fantastic opportunity, and we are thrilled to have taken part in the mission. There were a lot of great conversations that arose from utility sludge management, hotels waste management and integrating wastewater management into mini-grids. We are excited about the different prospects that will blossom from the relationships that we formed." - CEO Thomas Fudge
